So I was going to write something completely different here as I have lots of writings and stuff piled up, waiting to be blogged. But the most pressing issue of the day seems to be this guy I just met. He seems like a nice guy, local, been to America so he speaks English. He owns a store near the bazaar I shop at every weekend so I have seen him almost every week for a month or so. We chat or whatever. Anyway, he asked for my number and I gave it to him since I thought he just wanted to talk, you know, practice his English. As I can see the raised eyebrows, let me state also that there are two other local people who call me only to practice their English, so it's normal.

Anyway, he called and we had a nice chat, but he seemed interested in seeing me. Unfortunately, I don't want to date. Anyone. At all. This is partly because I haven't met anyone I'm that interested in and mostly that I only have 8 months left here, so every day is dedicated to doing something for "the people." Also, he seems intent on solidifying a day, and not only do I not have a day, but as anyone who knows me can tell you, I don't solidify my plans until 5 minutes before I go out. (I see David nodding his head knowingly from all the times I've done this to him). Anyway, it came off as pushy and now I'm not even sure I want to talk to this guy again.

But on a brighter note, I got a package today! My mom got me lots of useful stuff (although I am a little questioning of the microwaveable ziplocs since I don't have a microwave... ). But everyone was typically jealous and I did my best to point my finger and go "ha ha" because that's what they do when they get a package and I have nothing. And yay to the instant oatmeal too! Everything was great.

Today I'll leave with a quote ala girl-Kelly:
"If I could have my way, I'd be sleeping in an alley. With a couch and a friend and a bottle of gin."
