On the way to New York, my bf's mom - forever now named "Frankenheimer" on this site (since she is now reading it and the boy thought she would get a kick out of it) - was telling us how much better the streets are in New Jersey than in Pennsylvania.
I was dozing off to the sounds of them arguing that New Jersey's streets were just as bad, when we crossed the state line, went for about a mile and hit a pot hole large enough to rattle the whole car.
The boyfriend turns to Frankenheimer and says, "So, the streets in New Jersey are nicer, right?"
Her answer was classic: "Well, they probably just moved the state line."
