Gasoline is $3.14 per gallon today. All over the world, the temperatures are breaking records and we are in an emergency heat warning until Thursday (moved up from yesterday when it was Wednesday). I am consumed with the certainty that:
1. Gasoline will never go significantly lower again.
2. Temperatures will not be going down for a long time, if ever.
Last winter, I was very flip about how warm it was. I joked that we should all thank global warming for the nice weather. But not if it means that the Amazon dies or there are mass deaths to heat stroke.
Something needs to give. Ideas?
